This programme invites audiences on a musical journey across contrasting styles, colours, and traditions within the chamber music repertoire. From the rhythmic energy and vibrant character of Florent Schmitt’s Ghanaia to the graceful conversational writing of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Duets No. 7 & 4 from 12 Duets, K.487, the works highlight both virtuosity and the delicate interplay between instruments.

The programme continues with the refined sonorities of Marcel Tournier’s Quatre Préludes, Op.16 and Woo’s Quartet Lyrique No.1, where lyrical expression and subtle textures unfold through the ensemble. A moment of contemplation follows with Fukuda’s The Sonnet of Prayer, a work imbued with reflective and poetic qualities.

Concluding the programme, Susato Suites draws inspiration from Renaissance dance music, bringing a lively and spirited close to the concert. Together, these works celebrate the expressive richness of chamber music and the artistry of collaborative performance.

Daripada tenaga ritma dalam Ghanaia karya Florent Schmitt hingga dialog muzik yang anggun dalam Duets No. 7 & 4 daripada 12 Duets, K.487 karya Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, setiap karya menonjolkan interaksi dan kehalusan ekspresi antara para pemuzik.
