Chapter 30: Philharmonic Test Drive – Celebrating A New World

In keeping with this very first concert to be staged at the Grand Theatre, a repertoire of “firsts” composed by Mozart, Mendelsohn and Bruch will define this apex concert celebrating the Selangor Philharmonic Orchestra’s 15th Anniversary. Three of our own bright stars selected by competition will be accorded a life-changing opportunity to shine first on our nation’s newest stage. Befitting the occasion, Dvorak’s Symphony No 9 with its themes composed specifically to celebrate the New World will be our finale.

Joining the Selangor Philharmonic Orchestra on this wondrous exploration, Sunway University’s flim and theatre students will showcase visual creations to further immerse our intrepid audience into this new world unveiling.
