Angin Main Teri : Teater Tradisional Kontemporari Imersif

September 17 @ 8:30 pm - September 18 @ 10:00 pm SMT
RM50

What if you could feel what cannot be seen?

Something stirs within the body.

Something awakens memory.

Something ancient returns.

Inspired by Main Teri, a traditional healing performance from the East Coast of Malaysia, Angin Main Teri reimagines this ritual tradition through the language of contemporary theatre.

Blending ritual, music, movement, sound, light and immersive performance, the work explores the unseen forces that move through the body, connect us to memory, and bridge the past with the present.

SINOPSIS

Angin Main Teri follows a journey into the mysterious relationship between the body, memory, ritual and the unseen.

At its centre is the encounter between an individual and the angin that moves within the body, drawing fragments of memory, inherited stories and ancestral presence into the present. As the boundaries between reality, ritual and imagination begin to blur, the characters are confronted with questions of identity, belief and what it means to carry something from the past within us.

Through traditional ritual, contemporary theatre, music, movement, sound, light and immersive installation, the performance gradually transforms the theatrical space into a meeting point between the visible and invisible.

What begins as an exploration of Main Teri becomes a deeper journey into what we inherit, what we remember and what continues to live within the body.

The audience is not merely invited to observe this journey. They are brought closer to the experience, becoming witnesses to a world where ritual meets theatre and the unseen becomes almost tangible.
