Heritage Food Trail Across the States of Malaysia

Jejak Rasa Merdeka: A Heritage Food Trail by Open House
About the Event:
In conjunction with Merdeka month, join us for Jejak Rasa Merdeka – a journey down memory lane tracing Malaysia’s road to independence, one heritage dish at a time. Starting from Perlis and winding through all 14 states – Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Sabah, and Sarawak – before arriving at the finale: Merdeka itself. Each stop on the trail highlights an iconic regional dish, paired with a short story of that state’s role in the journey to independence.
Come hungry, come curious, and celebrate 69 years of Merdeka with us.
