Marking the return of BELIA’n Wind Symphony, we proudly present our official return at the start of 2026 with our concert, “The Ambitious Plan” held at the British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) auditorium. This performance marks the culmination of our three-year journey in fostering, strengthening, and reconnecting youth wind instrumentalists.

BELIA’n Wind Symphony is a youth-level wind symphony committed to cultivating youth musicians by strengthening musicianship through meaningful connections and a supportive learning environment. We strive to showcase and promote local youth composers, while representing the nation in local and international wind music festivals – celebrating cultural and musical experiences through friendship and music.

The first half of the programme will begin with the playful energy of Jinnawat’s Playground March, with the rhythmic vitality of Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances. We then turn tp Schocker’s Green Places, featuring soloist Sylvie Wong Xiu En, offering elegance and harmonic beauty before moving into the reflective depth of Chorale for Peace by Deleruyelle. The first half ends with Shimoda’s Voyager Program, highlighting the importance of discovery and explorationthat lies at the heart of musical growth and excellence.

The second half continues with Reed’s Viva Musica, a diverse and celebratory overture that sets the stage for a world premiere work by local composer Qayyum bin Zainal, encouraging local talents in the creative and musical landscape. Energy and drama continue with Perseus by Yagisawa, uniquely featuring a choir part by the musicians themselves. The evening ends in Alberto Pina’s The Ambitious Plan – a passionate, cinematic piece with an apotheotic ending that marks not only the end of the concert, but also the continuation of BELIA’n Wind Symphony’s journey forward.
