Unbound

Malaysia’s only baroque ensemble Wicked Music People presents a riveting performance of music from the 16th and 17th centuries presented in a 21st-century setting. Played on instruments such as the baroque violin, baroque flute, viola da gamba, and harpsichord, Unbound features music by renowned composers such as J.S. Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Henry Purcell, G.P. Telemann, Tomasso Albinoni and more – with a very special collaboration with the Kenny Shim Dance Collective to bring together early music and contemporary dance.

With vocal performances by the award-winning choir Ottophony as well as digital scenography and dramatic performances by Boh Cameronian Arts Award laureates Zen Lin Tan and U-En Ng respectively, Unbound pushes new boundaries of imagination and artistry, uniting each performer’s deepest personal ideals and visions about freedom and liberty, interpreted through the disciplines of music, dance, and theatre, to create a powerful, profoundly compelling performance.
