SUMMARY:Murmur In The Wildwood
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the students and coaches of Airfit Dance Studio \nThis production marks the 10th anniversary of Airfit Dance Studio’s Aerial Arts journey—a celebration of movement spanning generations\, with performers aged 10 to 57. \nA haunting new work from Artistic Director Charmaine Lim\, Mumur in the Wildwoods explores the fragile intersection of humanity and the natural world—and the devastating cost of human greed. \nDeep within the ancient forest dwell the elves—quiet guardians who live in harmony with the earth\, taking only what they need and giving back in return. They are the pure heart of the wild\, untouched by ambition or excess. But their sanctuary is threatened when the outside world arrives\, driven by an insatiable hunger for more: more plastic\, more concrete\, more cities\, more consumption. The humans do not see the forest. They see only land to be stripped and built upon. \nAs the destroyers march forward\, the forest begins to cry out. And from the deepest grove\, the Wind awakens—the ancient mother of the forest\, keeper of its memory and fury. She rises not with mercy\, but with the full force of nature’s wrath\, determined to halt the destruction before it is too late. \nYet in the chaos of battle\, a deeper question lingers: the forest has outlasted empires. It will survive—that is not in question. What is in question is whether it will choose to forgive the hands that wounded it. And if the earth breathes again\, will it breathe for us—or without us?

SUMMARY:遙遠的東方有一群鬼 The Ghosts Within
\nLoh Kok Man’s distinctive theatrical language collides head-on with Chien Li-Ying’s sharp and unflinching writing. Together\, they peel back layer after layer of the darkness left unspoken by the previous generation\, revealing an Asian family built on illusion\, secrets and lies. \nA mother who transfers her resentment towards her late husband onto her own son. An adopted son desperately clinging to the illusion of a perfect family. A daughter-in-law caught between two men. \nAcross two generations\, a battle unfolds — one shaped by family lies\, emotional entrapment and the weight of Confucian morality. \nThe production brings together an accomplished award-winning team of Malaysian theatre practitioners\, including renowned costume designer Beatrice Looi\, independent musician Kent Lee\, multimedia designer Fairuz Sulaiman\, set designer Wei Lin\, and lighting designer Sing Lim.
