The epic story of “The Butterfly Lovers” is based on solid historical facts\, whereby the production team has conducted numerous research and studies of historical documents.  \nAfter the monumental success of “Dream of the Red Mansion” stage play\, Symphony Theatre Production brings together the talents of drama directors\, actors\, composers\, lyricists\, singers and scriptwriters from China\, Taiwan\, the United States\, Australia and Malaysia to present this unforgettable love affair. \nThe female lead\, Zhu Yingtai\, will be played by internationally-acclaimed singer and actress JessC\, who has developed her career in China\, Australia\, Taiwan and Malaysia. DESCRIPTION:The Maybank Art Collection Exhibition (MACE) marks the first time Maybank is presenting selected artworks from its collection to the public. \nOver several decades\, Maybank has built an art collection through works that were acquired and gifted to the Bank. Many of these artworks have long been part of Maybank’s offices and public spaces\, encountered in everyday settings rather than in a gallery context. MACE brings these works together in a curated exhibition\, allowing them to be viewed\, experienced\, and engaged with more intentionally. \nThe exhibition reflects Maybank’s role as a custodian of these artworks. DESCRIPTION:The Faculty of Dance\, ASWARA presents RE : GERAK WHEN MOTION REMEMBERS\, a mixed-bill contemporary dance performance that brings together eight choreographic works by Yunus Ismail and Murni Omar. The production features performances by ASWARA students\, alumni\, and lecturers\, reflecting a shared artistic ecosystem shaped through pedagogy\, practice\, and professional exchange. \nThe programme assembles a range of contemporary dance works that engage with movement as a site of memory\, inquiry\, and reflection. Each choreography articulates a distinct perspective\, drawing from personal experience\, cultural inheritance\, and present-day social realities. Together\, the works examine how motion carries traces of the past while responding to the conditions of the present. \nAudiences can expect a performance that moves between abstract exploration and grounded narratives. Themes include cultural continuity\, identity\, human relationships\, and social awareness\, articulated through varied movement vocabularies and compositional approaches. The title underscores a central concern of the production\, how the body remembers\, translates\, and reactivates experience through pergerakan.

DESCRIPTION:Can human beings justify anything\, as long as they stand to benefit from it? \nIn this dysfunctional play\, set somewhere in a not-so-distant\, kinda-parallel universe\, a clandestine experiment is conducted to increase fertility and birth rates\, particularly in the working class. Years later we see one of the more macabre consequences of this intervention. A group of five people grapple with the aftermath of a ghastly event that they’ve all\, in one way or another\, participated in. \nWe follow their journey as they come to terms with what humanity is truly capable of. Guilty\, not-guilty\, avoiding guilt\, defiance in the face of guilt\, feeling above guilt – in the end\, can we really judge them without also confronting ourselves?
