Our faculty includes four permanent members and two visiting professors from the University of lowa and Kunitachi College of Music. This rich environment has consistently produced many talented musicians. While mastering the basics\, students participate in ensemble training centered on two main pillars: the “Regular Concert” for classical music and the “Joyful Concert” for popular music. \nOur ensemble is well-loved for its high-level expression and artistry. Highly regarded worldwide\, we have recently performed at international festivals in France\, Croatia\, Taiwan\, and Shanghai\, gaining significant global recognition.

It is as if they are going back in time\, digging into the origins of the first stories\, perhaps even before words\, borders\, rules and obstacles existed.  \nAs the stories bring us together\, the actors make and create shapes: a donkey\, a turtle\, a cow\, a tree “that thought it was stronger than all”\, a frog\, an elephant\, a man in a canoe. \nAnd what if the first fable was born of clay? Artists Aurélien Zouki and Eric Deniaud knead and continue to create\, inviting us to travel with them through time and space\, on a poetic expedition into the strata of speech.

Hassan\, Fndrocka Notapurba\, Gejaletchumi Murugaya\, Lavinia A.\, Nuna Wan and Nur Aisyah Shahimee\, and interpreter Aw Wei Chun. \nSet at a bus stop\, the performance unfolds as different figures come and go\, each waiting for the newly promised accessible Bus 801 to arrive and allow them to continue with their day. Through a series of scenes and monologues\, the performers share moments of playful defiance\, escapism and reflection on agency\, time and belonging. \nAt its heart\, Siapa Cacat? seeks to reclaim the word “cacat”. Often used as a slur\, the production offers a powerful statement of empowerment and a provocation to reconsider who belongs on stage. It reframes disability as culture\, aesthetics and creativity\, while commenting on the stigma faced by the disabled community in Malaysia.

DESCRIPTION:Fragments of Tuah is a documentary theatre work set to original songs and music\, that revisits\, dissects and reimagines the enduring figure of Hang Tuah – the 15th-century warrior whose myth and memory continue to echo across time in modern Malaysia.  \nHaving toured as one of the opening performances for Kyoto Experiment 2025\, the one man play researched by Mark Teh\, Faiq Syazwan Kuhiri\, Syamsul Azhar and Wong Tay Sy\, looks at the different facets and phases of the legendary 15th-century figure via a layered collage of perspectives and materials-drawn from archival texts\, schoolbooks\, songs\, state slogans\, memories and history.  \nThis second staging in KL once again invites the audience into a space of reflection where the fragments of Tuah are pieced together not to restore a whole\, but to explore the gaps\, contradictions and questions that linger. Joining this staging are multimedia designer Bryan Chang\, musicians/performers OJ Law and Shariman Shuhaime\, and stage manager Shazzy Zakri. The Fragments of Tuah project was originally produced by June Tan and Hoe Hui Ting.

DESCRIPTION:《鼓境》不仅是一场演奏会，更是大马打击乐家唐勇豪多年深耕二十四节令鼓的艺术结晶。他将书法线条、武术气韵与舞蹈流动融入节奏，使鼓声超越单纯的打击，转化为空间与意境的延伸。 \n本场演出精选十余年创作与比赛淬炼之作，由芙蓉中华中学及双威大学二十四节令鼓队、一群15至25岁的青年传承者共同诠释。 \n舞台之上，击鼓如呼吸，节奏似画卷。观众将走进由节奏构筑的世界，在力量与静默、传统与当代之间，亲历这场由“鼓”而生的艺术之境。 \n这，就是《鼓境》。 \nRealm of Rhythm is more than a concert; it is the creative culmination of Malaysian percussionist Thong Yoong How’s lifelong dedication to the 24 Festive Drums. By weaving together the fluid lines of calligraphy\, the disciplined energy of martial arts\, and the grace of dance\, Thong transforms drumming into a spatial and poetic language that transcends mere rhythm. \nThis showcase features works refined over a decade of competition and composition. The performance brings together talented drummers aged 15 to 25 from the Seremban Chung Hua High School and Sunway University 24 Festive Drums teams. These young performers are both students and inheritors\, breathing new life into a traditional legacy. \nOn stage\, every strike is a breath and every rhythm a moving landscape. As the echoes fill the air\, the audience is invited to step into a world where power meets stillness and tradition greets the contemporary. \nThis is the artistic dimension born of the drum. This is Realm of Rhythm.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a picnic with Zero Waste and free from Single-Use Plastics (SUP) in the centre of town! Bring your own tiffin/bekal of yummy picnic food and spend some time with friends and families chilling on Dataran Merdeka. There will also be a free film screening at the square!  \nAt the same time\, various environmental organisations\, including Greenpeace Malaysia\, will be on hand to share more about how we can better care for our planet. \nA project created by KL Festival 2026 and Greenpeace Malaysia.  \nThis event will be held outdoors. As weather protection will not be provided\, audiences are encouraged to bring umbrellas\, raincoats\, hats\, or suitable items to stay comfortable throughout the event.
