DESCRIPTION:TEATER JIKEY LANGKAWI: “KEMBARA PUTERA” \nJikey Langkawi ialah sebuah teater rakyat menggabungkan seni muzik\, lakonan dan tarian yang berakar dari Pulau Langkawi\, Kedah. Jikey menampilkan struktur\, dialog komikal\, muzik pergendangan dan tarian yang unik dengan suntikan elemen komedi merangkumi watak pelbagai kaum di Malaysia berlatarkan suasana perdagangan sosio-ekonomi di Pelabuhan Langkawi satu ketika dahulu. Teater ini telah bertapak di Langkawi selama lebih 400 tahun dan setiap watak yang dimainkan memanfaatkan seni pantun dan juga melodi khas. \nJikey “Kembara Putera” terbahagi kepada dua bahagian. Pertama\, kisah saudagar India\, Nana Langkata\, yang tiba di Langkawi untuk berdagang dan bertemu dengan Awang serta Penghulu. Aksi komedi tercetus apabila Nana Langkata jatuh hati kepada “Perempuan Jawa”. Bahagian kedua pula mengisahkan pengembaraan Putera Wangsa ke negeri Kalaha\, di mana dia menyelamatkan Puteri Kalayanee daripada Anak Raja Jin Atas Angin hanya dengan menggunakan tipu helah. \nApakah tipu helah yang berjaya digunakan untuk mengalahkan Anak Raja Jin Atas Angin? Apa pula kisah lanjutan Putera Wangsa dan Puteri Kalayanee? Untuk mengetahui kesudahannya\, saksikanlah persembahan Jikey Kembara Putera! \n================================================== \nJIKEY LANGKAWI THEATRE: “KEMBARA PUTERA” \nJikey Langkawi is a traditional folk theatre that combines music\, acting\, and dance\, originating from Langkawi Island\, Kedah. Jikey features a unique structure with comedic dialogues\, percussive music\, and dance\, infused with humor and multicultural characters that reflect Malaysia’s diverse society. Set against the backdrop of Langkawi’s socio-economic trade scene from the past\, this theatre form has been rooted in Langkawi for over 400 years. Each character brings life to the performance through poetic verses (pantun) and distinctive melodies. \nJikey “Kembara Putera” is divided into two parts. The first part tells the story of an Indian merchant\, Nana Langkata\, who arrives in Langkawi for trade and meets Awang and the Village Head. The comedy unfolds when Nana Langkata falls in love with the Javanese Woman. The second part follows the journey of Prince Wangsa to the land of Kalaha\, where he cleverly saves Princess Kalayanee from the Demon King of the Wind Realm using only trickery. \nWhat cunning strategy did he use to defeat the Demon King of the Wind Realm? And what happens next between Prince Wangsa and Princess Kalayanee?
