SUMMARY:The Time It Takes For Time To Tick
DESCRIPTION:Between 2 Studios presents ‘The Time It Takes For Time To Tick’\, a contemporary dance performance by dance artist and choreographer\, Audrey Chua. \nThe Time It Takes for Time to Tick is a piece about the process of time as a paradox of the self. \nConceived through the notion about wanting and yearning for something so much that it can only be achieved with time\, what happens when reality catches and doesn’t return the expectation we sought? \nThrough movement\, the work ultimately reflects on how time shapes our relationship with ambition\, self-identity\, and expectation\, asking: when will our time come\, and how do we continue to carve a path and pursue what we desire while living within the uncertainty of the in-between?

DESCRIPTION:A love forbidden. A kingdom at stake. A legend that refuses to die. \nFrom the royal courts of Majapahit to the mighty Sultanate of Melaka and the mist-shrouded heights of Gunung Ledang\, Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical tells an epic tale of love\, loyalty\, power and sacrifice. \nAt its heart is Gusti Puteri Retno Dumilah\, a Javanese princess whose destiny becomes entwined with Hang Tuah\, the legendary warrior of Melaka. \nBut theirs is a love caught between two worlds. \nWhen the powerful Sultan Mahmud sets his sights upon the mysterious princess of Gunung Ledang and commands Hang Tuah to seek her hand in marriage on his behalf\, duty and desire collide — forcing two people bound by love to confront an impossible choice between the heart and the crown. \nWhat follows is a journey of passion\, betrayal\, war and sacrifice\, culminating in the legendary seven conditions that have echoed through Malaysian folklore for generations. \nTwenty years after it first captured the imagination of audiences\, Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical rises again — reimagined for a new generation with a spectacular new staging\, a new generation of performers\, and the unforgettable music\, poetry\, romance and theatrical magic that made PGL a Malaysian cultural phenomenon. \nSome loves are lived.\nSome loves are lost.\nAnd some become legend.

SUMMARY:Music for Land
DESCRIPTION:A fundraising music performance by two young Malaysian musicians\, Gulda De Xuan Tan (Erhu) and Tan Yijing (Dizi)\, initiated this performance to support Fund a Land with Kongsi Movement. \nHaving honed their artistry in Taiwan and distinguished themselves with exceptional musical achievements\, they return home for a brief visit\, bringing with them not only their music\, but also their hearts. Through the timeless voices of the erhu and dizi\, they hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the land that nourishes us all. \n50% of all admission proceeds will be contributed to the Fund a Land with Kongsi—a community crowdfunding effort to secure the land and the future of GK Organic Farm\, a 30-year pioneer of organic farming in Malaysia. \nCome experience an afternoon of heartfelt music\, meaningful connection\, and a shared commitment to protecting the land that feeds us. \nJoin us\, and let every note help safeguard a living legacy. Visit the website to know more. \nGulda De Xuan Tan 陈德轩\nErhu 二胡 \nOriginally from Malaysia\, Gulda now lives in Taiwan\, where he began learning the erhu at the age of ten through his school’s Chinese orchestra. His musical journey has taken him from youth ensembles to performing alongside adult orchestras\, including appearances at Taiwan’s prestigious National Concert Hall. Along the way\, he has received recognition in numerous competitions and performances. \nIn recent years\, Gulda has devoted himself to refining his artistry through intensive solo study under the guidance of various teachers. While the path has been demanding\, it has deepened both his musical expression and his appreciation for the lifelong pursuit of music. \nTan Yijing 陈怡静\nDizi 笛子 \nTan Yijing is a 16-year-old dizi player currently studying in Taiwan. She first chose the Chinese bamboo flute simply because it was light and easy to carry. Over time\, however\, she discovered that the Chinese character 笛 (dizi) shares its pronunciation with 涤\, meaning to cleanse. Realising that music has the power to cleanse and uplift the heart gave her playing a deeper sense of purpose. \nThough the journey has brought its share of challenges\, Yijing believes that music flourishes through sincerity\, perseverance\, and the right mindset. Each performance is her way of sharing not only melodies\, but also peace and hope with others. \nEnquiry: Zoe 017-307 1668
