DESCRIPTION:Can human beings justify anything\, as long as they stand to benefit from it? \nIn this dysfunctional play\, set somewhere in a not-so-distant\, kinda-parallel universe\, a clandestine experiment is conducted to increase fertility and birth rates\, particularly in the working class. Years later we see one of the more macabre consequences of this intervention. A group of five people grapple with the aftermath of a ghastly event that they’ve all\, in one way or another\, participated in. \nWe follow their journey as they come to terms with what humanity is truly capable of. Guilty\, not-guilty\, avoiding guilt\, defiance in the face of guilt\, feeling above guilt – in the end\, can we really judge them without also confronting ourselves?

Friendship strains under competition and family pressure\, and we see Maryam’s quiet longing\, Durga’s loss of faith\, and Grace’s fear of letting her mother down.
