Hikayat Storytelling Fest @ WTCKL

Step into the magical world of traditional storytelling with the Hikayat Storytelling Series, presented by the Hikayat Storyteller Guild under Hikayat Fandom. Inspired by Malaysia’s rich oral traditions, each session features a storyteller bringing to life legends and folklore drawn from the narrative worlds of Makyong, Mek Mulung, Wayang Kulit and classical hikayat literature.

Expect captivating tales of legendary heroes, mystical beings, royal intrigue and epic adventures — stories once told in palace courts and village gatherings, now reimagined for modern audiences. Through lively narration, expressive performance and hands-on craft moments, audiences of all ages are invited to rediscover the power of voice, memory and imagination.
