Ronggeng Kuala Lumpur Performance @ Pasar Seni

Ronggeng Kuala Lumpur 2026 presents a dynamic two-hour live performance celebrating one of the city’s most iconic social dance and music traditions.

Once synonymous with Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant nightlife from the 1930s to the 1960s, Ronggeng was a communal space where music, dance and multicultural exchange came alive. Curated by Nusantara Performing Arts Research Center (NusPARC), this performance revives the traditional cycles of Senandung/Asli–Inang–Joget through live musicians, singers and dancers.

Audiences are invited not only to witness the energy of Ronggeng, but to experience the atmosphere of a bygone era reimagined in today’s Downtown KL — where heritage, rhythm and community converge.
